These are the lyrics of a performance piece a comrade and I developed for our IPS final piece of work. It’s a lot better sung to Dom’s guitar blues playing, but here are the lyrics and one arrangement of it.

It is a little recap of the 4 (at the time) Intentional Peer Support core tasks and makes most sense if you’ve done that course.

Words by William Moon and Dominic Troughton. Arrangement and vocals courtesy Suno.com

IPS Blues

Doc don’t understand me,
Social worker too.
All I’ve got’s my peer group,
I  got the IPS  blues.

Feeling sad and lonely,
No one gets me true.
My peer says connect with me
If you got the IPS blues.

(All)  Doc don’t understand me
Social worker too.
All I’ve got’s my peer group
I  got the IPS  blues.

My world’s all pink,
Your world’s blue.
Let’s make polka dots
If we get the IPS blues.

(All)  Doc don’t understand me
Social worker too
All I’ve got’s my peer group
I  got the IPS  blues.

You’re a morning person,
I wake all night through
Lets meet at dawn,
Cos I got the IPS blues.

(All)  Doc don’t understand me
Social worker too
All I’ve got’s my peer group
I  got the IPS  blues,

No more runnin’ from
We’ll march together to
A world without those
Lonely iPS blues.

(All) No more runnin’ from
We’ll march together to
A world without those

Lonely iPS blues.
